Sunflower Summer Breeze depicts the contrast of the blue sky and the yellow sunflower. The sunflower here is showing it’s age a bit with the slightly curled petals, but I think that adds a bit of character and dimension to the flower. Despite the aging, the suflower still stands tall.

Zenkoji Temple has some pretty amazing temples. They are very large and full of detail. This video shows a couple of the the temples that are quite popular for visitors all year round. I visit this place often and even entered them when my two kids were born for a private ceremony that I was fortunate to have. You have to pay a fee for this, but to have the experience was incredible. During the Obon holidays this week, you see many orange and white lanterns that luminate the evening when lots of obon visitors pack the Zenkoji temple grounds. It’s a must see if you visit Nagano City during the summertime in August. Video by Jim Atwood Photography at http://jimatwood.net.
